Hopefully this thread can get us all in the right direction. Just a warning to those who are negative about this season: I am extremely positive. Let's go game by Game:(note this will contain a numerous amount of grammatical errors)

W Stephen F Austin- Well it's a Football Game. And since it's a night game and Moorheads first game on Labor Day Weekend, we can sell this one out! Seems just like a fun weekend for everyone honestly. Great way to kickoff 2018.

W @ Kansas State- Now that the kickoff has been announced for 11 am, I am putting this one in the lock category. This team doesn't scare me. Whenever Mississippi State plays similar caliber teams of Louisville or NC State, the line play absolutely is dominated by Mississippi State. I don't see anything different here. I expect this to be a big win .

W Louisiana Lafayette- I like getting the nonconference games out of the way. Even though I am 100% confident State wins this game, Mark Hudspeth is on staff. There's no doubt he will want to win this game big. And for any South Alabama or Troy flashbacks, I don't see it.

W @ Kentucky- definitely the most hesitation I've put next to a W so far. It's funny to me how both Mississippi State fans and Kentucky fans always circle this as a win. However historically since the first expansion, this series has been tight. Now Mullen had a great run, but some of his weirdest games like 2013 2014 or 2016 were Kentucky games. So naturally last season was refreshing to just destroy them. I expect State to win still.

But let me be clear. This is our trap game before Florida. So I don't expect this to be an easy win. I think this will turn out to be the game that most State fans are expecting vs Kansas State.

W Florida- It seems as if everyone is confident Mississippi State will not only defeat Florida but that they will absolutely destroy them. So that's why this game absolutely terrifies me. The reason I have win is because everything on paper tells me this should be one of Mississippi State's easiest games of the season. However... This certainly has the makings of one of those all time Mississippi State losses....

Tossup W Auburn- ok so this is by far the toughest game for me to predict probably for the entire season. The timing of this game is why I'm so questionable on it. Because to me the momentum and the better team is Mississippi State. I also think this could make or break this season as well. Idk maybe I have sort of a 2000 flashback here, but I'm predicting State to beat Florida and Auburn at home back to back weekends.

L Bye Week- we always find a way to lose

W @ LSU- I'm not as down on LSU as most are, however this is the easiest SEC road win to predict a win for State in my eyes. Not only is Mississippi State coming off of a bye, for LSU this game is in between hosting Georgia and Alabama(man the SEC screwed LSU by giving them 3 straight home games against incredible teams)... State absolutely pounded LSU last year in Starkville, and since that time LSU has gotten worse and State has gotten better. While recent history of LSU owning Mullen and Sherrill is not on my side, I do have one thing to say. LSU does not own Moorhead (well at least not yet!)

W Texas A&M- I'll be honest I have no clue what to expect. This was one of my favorite games of the 2017 season of going down to Kyle Field to win our first game at A&M. This game works out great if we are playing Sumlin, but this is Jimbo Fisher. And I'm not personally sure I have them up there as elite head coaches, but he is certainly more established and better of a HC rn than Moorhead is. The good news is, this game is so later on that we will have an idea of what both Moorhead is like as a HC and what Texas A&Ms team will be like. But as for now. I'll predict Mississippi State to win.

W Louisiana Tech- this game comes at a great time for Mississippi State. I don't see this as a trap game at all, State absolutely pounded Louisiana Tech in 2017. I'd expect more of the same.

L @ Alabama- You guys probably already think I'm crazy for predicting Mississippi State to go 9-0, so I would certainly be crazy for them going 10-0 Right? Well of course I would be. We aren't winning in Tuscaloosa. I know that. I will say though that we played great against Alabama last year in one of the best atmospheres in college football. I really did think we were going to shock college football that night. But at last we didn't. And maybe we get another chance in a few years........... Ugh. Plz beat these MFs.

W Arkansas- I think this will be the worst team in the SEC this year. I don't have anything else to say. Morris is a meh hire imo. He isn't recruiting great, and he's switching from a pro style offense to a spread offense with pro style players. I think Arkansas will be beaten up by this point so I think we will win easily.

W @ Ole Miss- Not an automatic win, or you will get what happened last year. It is certainly a compelling matchup to me since the Ole Miss WRs can score easily on this State defense. But let's be real for a second. If Fitz is still starting, his last Start in Oxford was a 55-20 blowout. He owns the Vaught. And thanks to Ole Miss making Mississippi State their Super Bowl last year(it was kind of cute actually), they have ensured that this season will be pretty brutal with a 1st time head coach. And let's see I believe 1st year head coaches are now 4-0 in their last 4 Egg Bowls. I believe Moorhead will make it 5.

11-1 7-1. I feel much more better going with 10-2 and I'd probably go with Auburn as a loss tbh. But either way I don't see Mississippi State going to the SEC Title Game going 11-1 with a loss to Alabama. I think we have to beat them in order to make it. But I will go as far as to predict if State goes 11-1 that they will make the playoffs as a 4 seed in which they will get knocked off in Dallas by Alabama again.

Well now I've gone with my out of this world full schedule breakdown and everything. I've built some hype, and I'm not charging a dime for it. Quality Mississippi State Board on the SEC Rant stuff right here.

I'll give it a go.

Stephen F Austin: W- Night game to kick off the Moorhead era. Everyone will be super pumped and we will win BIG.

@ Kansas State: W- Early game on the road. I hope we're up and ready, but the thing we have going for us is the crowd won't be as electric as a 2:30 or 6:00 game. We win by 10+.

Louisiana Lafayette: W- Hudspeth knows plenty about this team and we are much better than this team. We'll win BIG.

@ Kentucky: W- They will have a decent team this year, but won't be able to hang with us for 60 minutes. We'll win.

Florida: W- Davis Wade will be electric September 29th. The players will be even more fired up, especially Fitz. We'll win.

Auburn: W- This game scares me. Obviously Auburn will be very good, but I think we will win. What scares me is this is right after the Florida game. I think we'll win in a nail-biter.

Bye Week- Let's hope nothing stupid happens.

@ LSU: W- It's always tough playing @ LSU, but their offense has some major questions while our defense is absolutely loaded. We'll win this game.

Texas A&M: W- We'll win this game. We have more talent than they do.

Louisiana Tech: W- Blowout win for us. Big game next week in Tuscaloosa.

@ Alabama: W- There, I said it. This is our chance to beat Alabama. It will be a very tough task to win @ Alabama, but if we ever have a chance to beat Alabama under Saban, it's this year. I believe the winner of this game will be in Atlanta.

Arkansas: W- Arkansas is rebuilding and we get them at home. We'll win this game by 10+.

@ Ole Miss: W- Payback. Their defense is awful and their offense is not that great. We'll bring the Egg back home!

I know I sound crazy, but I've bought the hype. I believe we are going to Atlanta!

Hail State!!!

Some of yall are wooly. New coaching staff is hard to predict especially on the defensive side for me. I've been a bulldog fan too long not to be pessimistic.

SFA - W
Kstate - Tossup, don't care what you say, never underestimate Snyder.
USL - W
Kentucky - W
Florida - W, even though I will nto be surprised if State shits the bed on this one.
Auburn - L, physically superior team.
LSU - L, on the road in the SEC is never easy.
A&M - W, we physically whooped them last year and I expect the same.
Tech - W
Bama - L
Ark - W
ole miss - Toss up, this is their superbowl this year.

7-5 to 8-4. I'll be the wet blanket and say, "Hello Liberty Bowl!"

You've got us penciled in for a loss against an Ed Orgeron team that we beat 37-7 last year and you have us losing toss up games against Ole Miss and K State. Ole Miss beat us because they intentionally broke our quarterback's ankle and Mullen was completely focused on another job last year. We are superior to them in every way outside of the WR position and will beat them to death barring a miracle (like last year where we turned it over 5 times). We also are not losing to an 8 win K state team that won 4 games against teams with 1 win or was a FCS school last year. We out talent them at literally every single position on the field. If we go 7-5 with what we have returning, we are going to be looking for a new coach in 3 years.

If we go 7-5, Moorhead needs to be fired.

I posted I'll be the wet blanket.

That same Ed O team also managed to beat Auburn AT home when they returned to a full healthy squad. We play them later in the year when they may actually have their QB issue figured out. Our only advantage is we have a bye week before while they come off playing a #2 or #3 UGA. How did we look against physical teams on the road last year? You want to trade LSU win for a UF loss? I believe that's possible too.

The same Kstate team that always manages to win 2-3 games a year they have no business winning(OK State). But you minimize 4 of their wins while discounting them beating OK State and going toe-to-toe in their losses to everyone but a No. 6 TCU? Everybody out talents Kstate but yet they win. Have you ever watched them play? THere is no better game day coach than Snyder IMO.

What was our most impressive win? Bowl game against the worst D-coordinator ever? Beating Ed O by 30? Physically assaulting a pansy-arse A&M squad?
