If you haven't, I suggest watching these particularly these last couple. there has been a lot of info released in subtle ways. I'll list what has been said, that I didn't know about at least, ITT. Also, 247's last podcast was really good and they illuminated a lot of these points that I just kinda glossed over when initially watching the interviews.

I'll start in descending chronological order:

Muschamp's interview post scrimmage: one of the things that annoyed me about DL recruiting was that it always seemed that our best, or at least our highest rated, DE commits got moved inside. Enagbare, Webb, Kier Thomas etc. What Champ said about this in the interview was that we very rarely use a true DT like Kinlaw because of the amount of Nickel we line up in. He said that when those guys are lined up inside they are really playing more of a 4 technique and when we do go to a true 4 down look where the DE's play is only about 6 inches outside where those tweener type guys line up every other play. To this point, he and Lance Thompson have raved about how not only Enagbare has played, but how last years grey shirt Tyreek Johnson have looked. This also helps with the idea that we haven't been recruiting DT well because we aren't looking to get all that many run stuffing DTs in the present scheme. Champ also talked about the EEs and that Fenwick, Mukuamu, Roderick and Manos are taking a lot of snaps. Gave some lip service to the other guys so they don't get left out but those mentioned above are the one's he was clearly impressed with.

Lance Thompson's interview: The BIGGEST part of this interview, which I didn't catch the first time is that LT is no longer the full DL coach. He is presently working strictly with DTs. Mike Peterson has been not only working with bucks but all edge defenders. An aspect of this mentioned in the 247 podcast is that with the nomadic nature of Thompson, moving Peterson to this duty helps with the negative recruiting that we are getting because of Thompson's potential departure. Combine that with the fact that, as mentioned above, a lot of our DL as a whole will have played DE in highschool, Mike Peterson is now responsible for getting them in the door. I can't remember the blue chipper's name but one of the DL prospects for next cycle at the opening in ATL went as far as saying Peterson is like his father figure so this move may already be paying off.

Dan Werner's interview: If there is one thing I took away from this one its that Werner is absolutely having a large role in molding this offense. He went as far as to talk about some of the decisions "he" not "we" or "BMac" is making in terms of how we use tempo and RPOs etc. He also said that it is not outside the realm of possibility to see plays designed to take advantage of Urich and/or Joyner this year.

There are more and I will add those later but these are the major ones that have jumped out at me recently.

I caught part of this interview on 107.5 in the car the other day and this stood out to me as well. Seems he is very much in at least a co-coordinator position even if he doesn't have the title and will be heavily involved in shaping the offense.

I really wish we could get interviews from these guys during the season.

Same.

Also, I saw a tweet from Tom Luginbill who stopped by one of our practices. He said he hadn't seen this much tempo in a practice since Chip Kelly was at Oregon.

That's plenty exciting, but I just hope they value the football. I love scoring points but I hate turnovers more.

Exactly, and that was actually what Werner said towards the end of his interview. When asked about what his goal was for the scrimmage, he said he'd love to go out there and move the ball and throw TDs but he's putting a premium on ball security.

Side Note

JC over at 247 reiterated again today what I put in the OP RE: Joyner that being, don't be suprised if you see him play and don't be surprised if you don't. This staff isn't going into the season with the plan to RS him and if an opportunity presents itself that they think a play with Joyner could win a game, their going to do it.

If we can use tempo like Oregon did, and have the defense that Muschamp can develop, there are some really good years of Carolina football coming our way.
