Going Greek

Hey, so I´m thinking about rushing, but I want to make sure that I´m not going to run into trouble if I decide to go Greek such as:
-Hazing: listen I´m okay with something like a scavenger hunt or wearing a silly costume to the 5 or something but I´d rather not get treated like shite for a week or forced to do anything dangerous
-Mandatory or coerced drinking: 1. I´m underage still and 2. I don´t even like alcohol
-Sketchy situations with brothers: I´ve heard the horror stories about mixers/exchanges and I guess I just want to make sure that I'm not gonna be pushed to hookup with anyone or advertise myself as dating material to entice fraternities to pair for a social event
I know there's no guarantee I'll even get into a sorority and I know that it's not ALL parties (in fact the philanthropy and sisterhood is why I'm interested in the first place!) I just want to know if it's something I'll still be able to enjoy being a part of even if I'm a bit uptight

Tough question. Some like the Greek experience, some get into it and don't.
Most Fraternities are fine, but yeah, there are some that can be bad for a young woman to go to if the booze has been flowing.
Is this something you want? If the answer is yes, then go for it and good luck getting into the sorority that you want. Just be like any young lady on a college campus and avoid bad situations. Look for a sorority that isn't known as a party hardy bunch. There are plenty out there that aren't wild and crazy.
And there is nothing wrong with being uptight.
