State putting on a show against a really good Oregon team that averages 91 ppg. Up 12 right before half.
Might be the year State gets over the South Carolina hump. Last year was rough
Lost in Columbia in de facto SEC regular season championship
Lost in Greenville in SEC Tournament championship
Lost in Dallas in national championship.

Can our women's team help the men's team in some way?

Big T would probably help our post play on the mens side.
35 points/19 boards tonight. They slowed her down in the second half too!
Tori had 30 points - 26 in the second half.
If they are playing like that, State will be a tough out for the tournament if they can avoid Connecticut

State has to get past SC and Tennessee. SEC women's basketball is a gauntlet.
Miss State plays SC only once. UT and SC play one another home and home including the final regular season game of the season.
Does State play Tennessee twice?

Just once this year - had them twice last year.
We get Kentucky, Florida and of course Mississippi twice this year.

Then Miss State has a chance to take advantage of a more favorable schedule.
The conference is a beast this year. Gotta like what MSU is doing with their non-conference schedule. Should have them good and ready once conference play begins in January.

We have Syracuse next week - they are 10-0 and look pretty good.
We beat Arizona State, Oregon and Oklahoma State, all of which should challenge for their conference.
We also beat UWGB, who may go 29-1 this season in the Horizon League. They are tearing it up. That win is a lot better than it looks. They are 9-1 and #5 in the RPI right now with the #11 SOS.

One thing Pat Head Summitt taught us all is to play a wicked non-conference schedule.
SC lost to Notre Dame, beat Stanford at their place, mudholed Duke and still has UConn at home in a month or so.
Notre Dame is very good but they couldn't miss that night. We had them by 18 and they came back to win. Conversely they had UConn by 24 before UConn went on a 28-2 run to win the fourth. Notre Dame is the streakiest team I have ever seen play ... but they've got some shooters.
Interesting year in women's basketball. UConn is unanimous #1 but they are beatable. Still, the top five or six teams in the country right now are the creme de la creme.
