He met with the AD and team exactly when I was told he would. The AD doesn't typically make press releases on weekends, so the official announcement being today surprised most people. It was unofficially going to be out there today regardless.

I don't actually doubt that you know somebody in the AD/a bigwig who has some inside info. I just don't think your source is completely infallible.
