It’s clear that “so and so” is not a top 10 team…

That’s all I hear on this site. Just curious…what exactly is a “top 10” team? Are there top 10 teams out there who are unfairly left out of the top 10? Who are they? This obsession with rankings is retarded…Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State are already in the playoffs…that last spot is still up for grabs…nothing else matters.

Keep winning and it works itself out.

I agree. For some reason fans think that college football teams used to be so much better and have way more better teams, but in reality there have always been 3 or 4 teams every season that were legitimate national title contenders and the rest were inconsistent and trying to figure shite out.

Polls are for entertainment value mostly. Metrics and records do count at the end of the season when big decisions are made for playoff and NY6 bowls.

Agreed…it’s always like this, but anytime there are unfamiliar names near the top this crap starts. It will all work out. Ole Miss will lose 2-3 games and go to the Cotton Bowl or something, Bama or UGA will win the NC and water will be wet.

CFP poll is the only one that matters. The rest are just fluff. Id be more likely to trust them if they waited until November to even start. This is the one thing the CFP gets right.
