Alabama is not an offensive juggernaut, nor are really any of teams projected in the playoff (at least not enough of a juggernaut against UGA’s D).

Alabama is # 7 in the country in total offense. They have the Heisman favorite at QB.

What is the best QB UGA has faced all year? UT QB Hooker?

Bama shut down the #5 Offense and Matt Corral holding them to less than 300 total yards.

And we beat everyone by 30+ points. What's your point ?

Going into the 4th qtr with 0 points against Auburn is not an offensive juggernaut.

It’s a matter of consistency (more so on offense, less so on defense).

Alabama’s rushing offense is also mediocre. The offense has looked great at times, and miserable at times.

Alabama made timely early plays on defense against Ole Miss to build a huge lead. Alabama couldn’t shut down Arkansas, who is right there with UGA in total offense.

UGA also dominated the four common opponents that either gave Alabama a push or came very close to beating Alabama. This group doesn’t even include the LSU or A&M games.

Sometimes they look like Ole Miss on offense and Clemson on defense, but not often enough to be deemed that kind of team.

You are irrationally invested in Georgia losing on Saturday, to be a self-professed Vandy fan.

So you want to pick one game and base your opinion on thta one game?

How did their defense do against:
Florida
Texas A&M
Tennessee
Arkansas

They have a good defense, but it isn't great.....like their offense. Last year the offense was great///stratospheric I might say.

If you think this Alabama team fits with the great ones then you haven't watched them play.

Don't get me wrong. they might very well beat us Saturday, but it isn't because their offense is as good as Ole Miss' and their defense is as good as Clemson's.

I have to ask this.

What is your prediction for Saturday's game? If your opinion of Alabama is THAT high then I would think Alabama by 3 TDs, at least, right?

Young isn't much of an upgrade over Hooker despite being a better pro prospect. They're actually pretty on par. Check the stats and the QBR ratings. That said, BAMA has more players on offense and more importantly they don't lack depth and they won't have starting playmakers out.

BAMA also has a much better defense. But again - it's depth, depth, depth. Tennessee never had a chance despite having a great first string O in key spots and we all knew it. We also had a spotty OL and RB1 out. Too thin. BAMA does not have that issue.
