You're 5-6, you fired your head coach after a dismal year. You're heading into your superpower, you pull off a miraculous win against your arch rival. You come off the win amped about your new splash head coaching hire.
Then you hire a coach who's 3-18 against top 10 teams, for 10MM a year.

Imagine starting the year bragging about this being your year. Talking about how great you were last year. Finally getting that preseason respect you deserve. Recruits flocking to you. You beat Bama..but lose 4 other games and finish .500 in conference.

Imagine losing your super bowl to a 5-6 team led by a lame duck coach with his scout team and then starting countless threads about said winning opponent in your super bowl to cope with the loss and the knowledge your overpaid coach can't do any better than the guy you replaced

A team that was down to their 3rd string in many key positions, including the 1st round WR whom accounted for 80% of our offense and a top 5 draft pick in Stingley.
