Yep. It's definitely for the best Riley ran away to California. Brian Kelly is the better coach imo and a good hire.
People can make fun but this is far better than most poking fun were expecting(if true). And I say this after making fun of LSU on the coaching changes board and saying Bert was on their list

Agreed. I could see LSU competing next season with this hire. Aranda would have taken 2 season or more.

The ONLY thing that matters is the insane amount of money that Woodward had to offer. My guess is that it is between a $150M to $200M contract. Not sure Tigers have any money left for assistants after this but not sure Kelly cares one bit.
A very good coach and good hire on the surface for LSU. So congratulations there Tiger fans.
I would be a bit fearful it is only about the money for him. Only time will tell to see how motivated and committed he is. I would have preferred a more youthful coach.
