He may have done OU a big favor. He apparently doesn't want to coach in the SEC.

He doesn't want to coach in the SEC is correct. If ISU and Baylor can figure out how to stop his offense, what do you think the SEC teams will do? Every team that has the ability to stop the long pass over the last three years has given him fits. His only other thing is releasing the H back to catch a pass, which was working against OSU, but he mysteriously quit calling it. He gets angry when you bring up he needs a coach that focuses on special teams. He is brilliant, but interesting.

Oklahoma doesn't join the SEC until 2025. Why would he be thinking about that. lol

I feel MOJo has it right. If in fact he did not want to take on SEC defenses week in week out, especially just those in the SEC West where OU will be placed, I can see him running to the PAC 12. There all he has to compete against is one team, the Ducks. But to me, what makes him look especially shitty is the way he lied at his post game press conference. Loudly claiming that he wasn't going to LSU all the while knowing he was going to announce today that he was leaving for S.Cal. Have not seen what he'll get paid there but the cost of living in L.A. has to be 2-3 times what it costs to live in Norman. Plus L.A. is a hell hole nowadays.

The SEC is brutal and he knows it. OU can do better and I hope they do.

I hope LSU finds a good coach as well. It was time for Ed O to go. He is having a mid-life crisis and loving it. He'll come to his senses when the money is gone.
