Do you want rural and don't mind 30 minute drives to grocery stores and 45-60 minutes to doctors and such? NW Georgia around Chatsworth/Dalton or LaFayette/Ringgold have reasonably priced land. Schools may be iffy and doctors will require you to go to Chattanooga for a specialist. Make sure your insurance will cover cross-state health care.
