It's 10pm on a Saturday night. Ole Miss just squeaked out a win against the powerhouse known as "Vanderbilt University" I'm watching Lane Kiffin being interviewed. Seems I'm the ONLY person on this forum who has watched EVERY presser since Lane came to Oxford. So I'm qualified to say Kiffin has mentioned lack of fan supoort in EVERY presser he's been a part of. A 10-win season. A top-5 rushing offense. A LEGIT Heisman candidate playing in HIS LAST HOME GAME - not to mention the other great seniors who could have played for a REAL college program. Yet...as the cameras panned across tiny little VH stadium what do I see? HALF empty seats!! Lane Kiffin would be an absolute idiot to stay in Oxford - an insignificant little southern town whose arrogant, self-important, elitist "fans" demand greatness without doing ANYThING to warrant it. We couldn't even fill the grove when ESPN came to town without Katie Perry

This.

Miss me with the "well he just needs to keep winning and the fans will show up" bullshite.

We were 8-2 and ranked almost in the top-10 on the last home game of the season. We're winning. Show up. For fricks sake they were offering $25 bundles with that and the basketball game yesterday.

Still doesn't help a family of 3 who have to drop a $1000 for a weekend trip to Oxford when you consider the 2 night hotel minimum, food, and tickets. Not a ton of people are going to make the trip from Texas or Atlanta to watch us play Vandy.
