Just bc he 'may be' better than Martin doesn't mean he'll be the savior.

I don't know.

Kim Anderson and Barry Odom have exactly nothing to do with Kim English.
Norm was an alum too if we want to play that goofy game

How is his recruiting? Because he’s not coaching players he recruited currently

I know GMU pulled in a top 75 player which is near impossible given their facilities.
I do want to stress this. Maryland is NOT good. They struggled against maybe the worst team in the A10 last week. They are ranked because of their name. That being said, I watch a lot of GMU basketball, so I will keep updating, and I also really really want Kim as well.

Kim Anderson was a complete head scratcher.
Odom will eventually be a fantastic HC, we should have never been his first gig, that was the problem there + he just cant recruit.
There is a reason Colorado tried to keep Kimmie there. Theres a REALLY big reason Tennessee tried to keep him there. Everyone at both places talked about him in a way you know just he'll be a star. I'll never forget his game against Jeff Withey, he had no business guarding him. Kimmie spent all week studying everything about him and how he plays, shut him down with the 6 inch difference.

His team consists of transfers he brought in and their best player was transferring out during the coaching change and Kimmie got him to stay and he already has what would be Cuonzos 2nd best recruit since he came to Mizzou committed to mid major George Mason while coaching his arse off.
Every fan base that knows who he is wants him. I suggest you look at Twitter and look at Tennessee and Maryland fans. I also suggest you look into the coaching community and see what they are saying about our boy Kimmie.

That’s not really true. There are several transfers on that team logging key minutes

The real question: can it get any worse?
We lost to UMKC by a wide margin already, the program is in shambles - what do we have to lose?
Might as well hire a true son where the sky is the limit. At worst we get exactly what we have now… at best he builds something great and doesn’t leave bc he is a true son.

Just think about this on national level with all sports. Norm is the only example I can think of where it worked out well.
Am I missing any others? I surely am.

I cannot support the hire if our fans are going to call him Kimmie

Oklahoma State Football (his name escapes me), Tubby
Smith at KY, Oklahoma State Wrestling under Smith, Spurrier at Florida, Franklin at PSU. Thats all I can think of off hand.

True sons is irrelevant. If anything hiring a true son will just add more try harding to the coach because it IS their school. And besides that, I imagine our most expensive coach ever has been our current basketball coach, not a true son, and it is a catastrophe.

Speaking of recruiting, one of his recruits was charged for murder last night

He's close to getting the Providence job.

Kim English, a former standout at Missouri and assistant coach under Rick Barnes at Tennessee, is reportedly the top candidate to take the vacant Providence job. Ed Cooley, who has been at the helm of the Friars program since 2012, recently took the Georgetown position.

Idk about this. He is maybe the 7th or 8th best coach in the A10. He is young, so plenty of time to improve but that's an interesting choice to replace such an amazing coach with.

Only if he has 1 more year of eligibility.

He finished 19-12 his first year at Providence. With wins over Wisconsin, Creighton, and Marquette.
