So if Alabama makes the NC game.....

....will the LSU fans root for the Tide to win the NC title?
I know this is purely hypothetical and there is a lot of football left to play, but they will be representing the SEC in the title game. As much as I'd like the SEC to maintain its supremacy and gain even more respect, I cannot bring myself to root for Bama. I just can't do it.

I'm going into hiding for the next year. Want to know what's worse than "Got 12?".
"Got 13?"

Too bad for you. I pulled for LSU with everything I had last year, and Florida the year before that.

i would root for any team to beat them regardless of who the other team happened to be

to answer the OP, depends on who they play.
I wouldn't root for USC or BYU... but anyone else I'd probably root for.
eta: I'd root for them against tOSU too, just for the hilarity

1) Waaaaaaaaaaay too early for this type of conversation, but since you brought it up,
2) Of course I root for Bama.
I could care less about who their coach is or who he used to coach. We've got a pretty damn good one in Miles and beyond that, let's play ball and Geaux Tigers.

I for one will! I will be a bigger Bammer than any Bammer poster on here. As much as Alabama fans want LSU to hate them, I don't.
I still hate Ole Miss more than any other SEC school and Auburn is a close second. Although if Bama faced Vandy in the SECCG, I'd be about dem Dores!
Geaux Tigers!

frick that. From a recruiting standpoint they have to lose..

Yes, I always pull for the SEC, except in Baseball, where I pulled for Fresno vs UGA, and usually pull against non-LSU SEC teams in the CWS Finals, as to keep LSU Baseball top-dog in league lore and recruiting. Besides, SEC teams outside of UGA in '90 and the LSU teams under Skip, usually run into a dominant or hot team in the finals.

yes, and I think we should go ahead and put them in that game now. Why wait? they are one of the best teams in college history just like the Oklahoma juggernaut in 03, and Ohio State in 06. I say put them in, and let the rest of us play for second

Most definitely. Put emotion aside and think about it. Alabama being good ("returning to prominence") is good for the West and good for the SEC. A good Alabama team makes other teams winning the West and the SEC a more significant accomplishment than it already is.
And if they end up in Miami after the dust settles in Atlanta, they deserve our ... well, at least my ... support.
But dealing with the delusional and condescending portion of their fanbase is a different topic all together...

ahhh I'm 50/50 on that. One hand I would like to be pro-SEC, on the other I remember a lot of Bama fans being tool bags to us last year. Saying things like UGA, and USC were more deserving, only winning with Saban's players so it doesn't count etc etc.
I think it would come down to how they were playing. A good underdog like Mizzou in there and I might go underdog.

Mo wouldn't stand a chance vs an SEC team with a month to prepare for their Offense..their D stinks..Oklahoma will own 'em again.
