What happened you say? Pain. Nobody has defied the odds and chosen the wrong door more than the Mizzou AD since Norm’s retirement:

The year is 1999. Mizzou has 3 finalists for the job: Door 1 Bill Self, Door 2 John Calipari, Door 3 Quin Cocaine Snyder. LINK /

2006-2011 solid run with Mike Anderson. Built back to 3 straight tournaments and an Elite 8. Alden got tired of Mike wanting to renegotiate every year and chose not to meet his number to turn down Arkansas. Who do we hire?

2011. Door 1 - Frank dirty Miami Haith, Door 2 - Gregg Marshall. (We got played by Matt Painter and IMMEDIATELY freaked out and Alden chose DOOR 1.

2014. Door 1 - Kelvin Samson is CAMPAIGNING for the job, Door 2 - Kim Anderson who is a D2 old white guy with ZERO AAU understanding. Door 3 - Mike White

Mizzou chose KIM who went on to win 28% of his games. He was such a bad coach that when he was fired his best option was D2 Pittsburg State where he has gone on to never have a conference winning record.

Coach Clownshow was given a blank check to take the dead program and turn it into a stage 2 cancer patient. That said, he did recruit the #1 player in the nation…who went on to play 3 minutes before blowing out his back.

Mizzou basketball for the last 20 years is the greatest “What If”, watch us blow our own foot off administration of all time.

It’s pretty wild that both Mizzou and Arkansas voluntarily passed on Bill Self to hire Quinn Snyder and Stan Heath respectively. What the hell were either of our schools thinking?
