Hard to say but I do think Winston carried them that year kind of like Newton did with Auburn. Take away those QBs and they definitely lose multiple games those seasons.
Speaking of coaches they posted that since Spurrier was hired in 1990 all 18 national championship winning coaches only had a 7-5 or worse season in full year one or full year two prior to those national championships with those teams. None ever had 7-5 or worse from year three on before the championship.

If they do fire DM after FSU they'd better walk their next guy out there asap to have a chance in saving this recruiting class
