Haven't been in a few years. What are the good bars/restaurants within walking distance of stadium? Staying near Cedar Bluff.

Are you taking a shuttle from Cedar Bluff?
There are multiple restaurants on Cumberland Ave to pick from, but they seem to change often enough that I can't give you a good run down of what down there right now. Market Square has a lot to offer, of places to eat and drink.
Grew up in Athens, lived in Knoxville for 20 years now and my opinion has not changed. UT is a shite college town. Garbage.

Has to be a tough gig.
Like the shuttle idea. It’s just my wife and me so we probably won’t be tailgating unless I hear from some friends who might be going.
Thanks for the info. Go Dawgs!

Not really a college town. I would call it a small city that happens to have a university. Cedar Bluff is a long way out; there are zillions of good restaurants out in the west part of town. Probably would find dozens just driving down Kingston Pike. But on Cumberland, near the university, it's mostly going to be more the chains (Zaxby's, Mellow Mushroon, etc.) The exception, an actual good restaurant, is Copper Cellar.

Been every year since 2003. The main UGA contingent will be at Calhoun's on the river which is also where the vol navy docks. If you and wife are just wanting to chill I can't really help but if you wanna be in the mix I'd say go to Calhoun's and soak in the atmosphere. As you can imagine though it does get insanely packed so you'd want to get there early.

I’m pretty sure I’ve been to Calhoun’s before. It’s been there for years, right? Either way it sounds like exactly what we’re looking for. Thanks.

It's been there ever since I've been going.

It's been there since the mid 80's. I've been there on games days in the early 90s. As noted, get there early. Think Black Friday at Walmart. (In this case with everyone either in orange or red and black).

Applebees is considered fancy there. Must try the natty in a styrofoam cup.

Well said. How horrible is it that they shoehorned the baseball/soccer complex between a rail yard and water treatment plant
