No sympathy, don't care who you are. Drive impaired then suffer the consequences.

Can't believe with his money he would put himself in this situation with Uber, lyft, etc.

Maximum sentence, he took a life because of his stupid decision to drive

Agreed with all. Especially in Vegas, there is so many ride services around. Totally careless

My father was killed by a drunk driver. This was 1968 and I had turned 5 years old 12 days before. It left my mother with a 5 year old, 2 additional sons (twins) who would turn 13 a mere 15 days later, and my sister who had turned 14 just 6 weeks before. Mama didn't work at the time, this is when mothers were more apt to raise children in the home than work outside. But Mama did go to work. All 4 of us kids had chores to do... so yes, don't let today's kids tell you a 5 year old can't sweep and fold clothes. We had gardening areas and neighbors who owned tractors and implements to turn soil. They wouldn't even let Mama pay for the fuel, but Mama did make sure we helped them in their gardens. I guess there is a lot to be said for living in rural areas after all. I don't know what my life would have been like growing up with a Father. I do have memories of him and they are all good. I know you can't replace good Mothers.

I haven't seen much about the person who died. Thanks God there were no children in the vehicles. I do pray if there are children involved, they have a strong family because it will take it.

There is no acceptable reason to drive under the influence. Times have changed so much since 1968. The person who killed my father was never even arrested. "He was drunk... He didn't know what he was doing". I'm glad those things have changed.
