JT & Stetson throwing deep in viewing portion of practice

Smart chose a period in which JT Daniels and Stetson Bennett were throwing deeper passes, side by side, for the media to view.
Daniels clearly excelled in that area, showing no effects of the lat injury that forced him to miss three games and allowed for Bennett to get the start and play over him against Florida.
Bennett was also accurate, but his deeper throws did not appear to have the same velocity.

100% of people know that JT has more velocity on passes. That has never been in question.
What is interesting is that JT is apparently just fine, but coaches are still riding with Stetson.

Stetson is only playing because JT hasn’t had enough reps since getting healthy. That’s about to change.

Deep, why do you have a hard on for stet?

I'm only going on the same insider info you are going on, and those insiders have been saying for at least 3 weeks that JT has been throwing, unhindered, in practice for weeks. Those same insiders said JT was a lock to start vs Florida because he was 100% and been getting many many reps in practice.
Are the insiders changing their tune, or are there new insiders saying something else now? Both can't be true. Either those insiders were full of shite before and are correct now, or they were correct before but full of shite now.

Because he's been playing far beyond what most of us thought his potential was. We thought he was a solid #3 coming into the season, and he got an opportunity to see the field again, and he has wowed us. He has played great. I mean great. Not just good, but great, minus the Florida game. He was OK in that game, not great. His body of work for this season, so far, has been great. Great.

I’m going by what Kirby Smart said. He said that JT has not practiced at full speed until the week of the Florida game. He was practicing before, but was limited by how far he could throw and with his velocity.
One week of normal practice wasn’t enough in Kirbys mind.

It’s not hard to find Kirby saying exactly what I said.

UGA is undefeated and Stet is our QB?

Florida would have been the wrong team for JT to get reps. Missouri at home sounds like the best time for JT to knock off the rust.

That may be true but it would mean the insiders have been wrong for 6 weeks

Let's hide behind the chainsaws!

A good HC might recognize that Stet lost to FL last year and giving him a chance to win that game might be huge for the young man.

Wrong, JT is undefeated as starting QB, not Stet.
