In my humble opinion, I don’t think UF can wait that long. You’re just allowing UGA to continue to grow. That could be 16 years since your last SEC title if he doesn’t figure it out.
But on the flip side, UGA had that ten year gap with Richt and turned things around pretty fast with Smart.

i agree, but there just isn't really anyone out there right now that's willing to put in the time that Saban/Smart/Dabo/Day do. at least i can't think of one. in my opinion, mullen knows the Xs and Os. he just needs to get out of his mindset that he's the greatest to ever do it with nothing to show for it.
if he wants to leave, then leave. but replacing him whether we fire him or he leaves on his own is going to really suck for who we could get. i don't even know if kiffin can recruit like saban/smart.

Smart was set up talent wise to compete in 2017. Richt's last 2 classes were decent top 10 classes and then Smart had a # 3 and a # 6 class going into that season. Smart has been matching Saban since then recruiting wise.

Not only UGA. UT looks better under Heupel. Stoops/UK have Mullen’s number. Meanwhile, we’re not improving in any aspect. Mullen almost snapped our 30+ year no shut out streak. He’s a good OC, average head coach.
