Also, there is two decent public HS in Memphis and that’s Houston High and White Station and you better be in AP classes at both or you are in trouble. If you live in Memphis you better send your kids to private school or they are in trouble.

Houston is in Germantown and part of the Germantown school system. Whitestation and Ridgeway are the two MCS that have optional programs with good AP classes, but you have to enter a lottery (or have money) to get into those programs.

Serious question: Is Houston High considered nice now? I know theyve always had good sports but was less desirable of the Collierville/Germantown options as far as regular students. I went to Collierville 20 years ago and thats where our school and Germantown High sent all the kids that were kicked out. Also, isnt Germantown High part of SCS (formerly MCS) or did they get that worked out? If im not mistaken there was something weird where they couldnt be part of their own school district.

A couple of years ago Memphis City and Shelby County schools consolidated into one school system.
