People live in north MS and commute to Memphis cause they can’t afford the nice houses in Memphis

This is a lie.. some do, but the vast majority live in the Shelby County suburbs due to better school systems, less traffic, and more land for development. Memphis city schools collapsed due to corruption for a reason.

Memphis interstates were designed around factories that have been abandoned and the areas of Memphis those factories were are some of the heaviest crime areas because of it.

Downtown, which is where the tournament would be, is perfectly fine. There are areas you shouldn’t go, but if you’re worried about ending up like a Chiraq casualty from visiting for a tournament at the Forem that’s insane.

Use the same logic you use in any big city. The downside of Memphis is you have a lot fewer attractions outside the tournament.

You do have the Memphis Zoo, which is one of the top zoos in the US, you also have basspro at the pyramid, Graceland(real natives never go), children’s museum, pink palace, Overton park, Cooper/Young, Shelby Farms, Agricenter, Peabody, riverside drive, Tommy Lee Park, Wolf River Greenwalk(this will soon connect downtown all the way to the west side of Collierville from what I heard.

Just looked it up

quote:

Built in phases, this 10-foot and 12-foot wide pathway will eventually extend a total of 36 miles to connect neighborhoods all the way from the north end of Mud Island, in downtown Memphis, through the neighborhoods of north central Memphis, connecting to Shelby Farms and then to the cities of Germantown and Collierville, Tennessee.

That’s all spread out though and outside of Riverside, Tommy Lee, and the Peabody they aren't walking distance from downtown.

Playa I’m saying the only reason people live in NMS is because the real estate cost is a fraction of what it cost to live in Memphis. They can’t afford Memphis

That’s a fact playa.

Also, there is two decent public HS in Memphis and that’s Houston High and White Station and you better be in AP classes at both or you are in trouble. If you live in Memphis you better send your kids to private school or they are in trouble.

Grew up in that city, went to private school in that city and lived there up until 5 years ago. I know it well.

The rich people live around Memphis country club area or in neighborhood before the 240 loop.

Memphis is one of the best basketball city’s in the US. There are more fans of SEC teams in that town than the Memphis Tigers and it isn’t close.

Nobody in Birmingham cares about basketball. Maybe they somewhat started last year.

Memphis had the SEC tournament in the early 90s and it was always a hard ticket to get.

Nashville, Memphis and ATL (although far from SEC basketball schools) should be on the list. I’m not mad about Nashville at all. I am glad I can drive two hours this year to Tampa but don’t think it should be there

Play on playa

When the REC okays a move they will tell Stanky.

They are considering WhiteFish, Montana if the graft can be nailed down. And a few more basketball goals can be found.
