I think it's not a coincidence Jeremy threw this out during Alabama/Tennessee week

100 percent. You've got certain media people whose biggest cash cow is stirring the hornets nest of Tennessee fans online. Bottlegate barely lasted a day as anything more than memes, so Jerome's lawyer gave them something to chew on while they spend next week telling the country how disastrous our program is while we're ahead of schedule going 6-6 with 65-70 players having faced 5 top 20 teams and Florida away. God help them if we go full heel and ruin Kentucky's feel good season like we did in 2018.

I know y'all a frothing at the mouth because y'all think this means something, but even if it's all true and Jermys gonna show where the bodies are, what's it gonna change? Is the AA gonna make us hire Dave Hart again? That was worse than probation.

Vols are posting that "Jeremy's lawyer admitted there were violations under Jeremy's tenure."

What they're not saying is those were minor violations that were self-reported (Jeremy being honest), and upper UT admins covered them up

so in other words, you're repeating the same big corporate line you were stating yesterday

You've been repeating the same tinfoil nonsense for almost a year, so what point are you trying to make here? That I am standing firm with my stance on this? Yeah, and...?

except yesterday you didn't even realize he was ready to defend allegations

Yes I was aware. However, unlike you, I didn't incorrectly say he has previously denied the allegations because he never has. I even took the time to read the links you provided, which didn't include any denials by Pruitt or his attorney
quote:

and of course defending allegations and denying them are two different things

exactly...

Donde went to school in Texas, so she must not be compromised?

I mean you're convinced the Knox News Sentinel is in some cover-up scheme with the Tennessee AD because they haven't released an article with all the details in an ongoing investigation Here's a thought, they don't have all the details either

Now, think to yourself why I included in my post her background (hint: it's because you're the one alleging there's some conspiracy).

But I guess it was totally a sign that she's in on the coverup when she fired a dozen or more people in response to an internal investigation but Pruitt is the one getting burned here. Use some common sense dude. No one turns themselves into the SEC and NCAA, fires their AD, fires their head coach, fires multiple staff members, and fires multiple members in the ADs office if it's just some big coup to oust Pruitt without paying him. Where is your faux outrage for the other employees who received their walking papers?

It's also as if you have no concept of what Pruitt's obligations and duties are as a head coach under NCAA bylaws. Because others in the university were complicit doesn't excuse Pruitt. It just makes more than just Pruitt responsible, and more than just Pruitt were fired. A contract is a contract. If he violated NCAA rules, Tennessee doesn't have to pay his buyout, period. And if they were really worried about exposure from whatever Pruitt thinks he has, then they wouldn't be taking the hard-lined stance they are. Again, use your common sense.

I think it's funny that you think Nov 13th to Jan 15th is a "timeline"

Why do you think that's funny? Are you confused as what a timeline of events is?

...Lyons alleged in his letter that UT's upper administration "ignored and covered up" several self-reported NCAA violations during Pruitt's coaching tenure, and some violations that occurred before he was hired.

Lyons added in his letter: "We have learned that UT upper administration was involved in or encouraged impermissible recruiting tactics. We have also learned that several prominent UT boosters have been and are involved in efforts to impermissibly recruit student athletes across multiple sports spanning multiple coaching regimes -- some of which are still in place."

Dude, the Tennessee media just dropped the entire thing and didn't ask any further questions on it. As of Sept, the only stories anyone could find on the entire matter were still from last January

Maybe you think that's journalism

I know you looked at my links, because you changed your story from yesterday to "he's never denied anything" to "he was only ready to defend allegations"

If I've been repeating tinfoil nonsense for a year, then why are you wasting your time in this thread? Go do something productive then and stop squealing to me or anyone else about this topic

oops, except Kansas did the same thing and Jeremy's same lawyer now, got vindication for David Beaty at Kansas only a week ago.

it's the new thing dude, law firms like the one UT hired to dig dirt on Pruitt while also running coverup for anything their administration did, so as to avoid paying buyouts

January to present - UT and Pruitt’s attorney exchange multiple letters. Pruitt’s attorney threatens lawsuits and exposing UT; UT says go for it

Happy?

Nice, so that means I was six months ahead of Jeremy's lawyer on it. Maybe I should start my own law firm.

Pruitt's lawyer in May

“We believe the decision to be the culmination of an orchestrated effort to renege on contractual promises made to Coach Pruitt upon his hiring in 2017 and reiterated less than five months ago,” said Lyons in a statement.

“The timing of the University’s actions and decision appear to be preordained and more about financial convenience and expediency than a fair and complete factual determination by the University,” added Lyons. “Moreover, it seems clear the recent leaks to the press are indicative of an interest to steer the narrative in a way that is desirable to the University to justify a decision likely made weeks ago.”

did Knox News do an expose on the law firm UT hired to run game against Jeremy on behalf of compliance (and boosters who don't want to pay a buyout) and coverup anything upper administration might have done?

Nope

But they ran one on Jeremy's lawyer

I wonder why that is?

I wonder why Tennessee waited until May to get rid of UT asst athletic director for compliance Adam Tate?

Because UT's "investigation" into Jeremy's "wrongdoings" were still under way during that same time
