Well, JQ, I googled band wagon fans, so I now know what it means.
And what do you mean, "That's not what I said?" I copy/pasted your exact words.
Of course I was using hyperbole about the lack of fans.
As far as how to fix it, even all-knowing Gabe admits he doesn't know the solution...and he adds he doesn't even know the problem. But as a fan, I'm having trouble keeping optimistic.

I mean, if you can’t be optimistic about a guy recruiting at a significantly higher level than this program has EVER seen then that seems like more of a you problem.
It’s really not hard to do. Look at the recruiting rankings then also look at the current talent rankings (only above Vandy) and that should make you feel better. A significant increase in the quality of players suiting up for Mizzou will lead to more wins. Do you disagree?
Or, you know, again. What’s the alternative? Fire Drink and hire a guy who has a 99.9% chance of not being able to recruit at near the same level? Gut this class and start the rebuild all over? Seems like a pretty easy decision to stick it out with the recruiter for awhile, no?

Drinkwitz can recruit better than we're used to but what has he proven as a coach with in game adjustments or scheming our average players into being in the right positions. Whether its offensively finding players in space or defensively just loading the box when, for example, A&M decided to JUST run for most of their offensive plays. That's what concerns me. This team looks straight up lost. That's on Drinkwitz.
