Who really thinks Mullen can be elite?

I know it's easy to jump all over Mullen after this but looking at his whole body of work can anyone say he's the guy to get us back to the top?

We need an elite recruiter for games like tonight

We need elite recruits to beat fricking Kentucky?

Nah - what we needed was better preparation.
Half of those penalties were due to UF not snapping the ball correctly in a noisy environment.

We'll if that's the case then Mullen definitely needs to go.

Yep, and that falls on one man.

If you leave timeouts and possible points on the board when you have the ball at midfield….
If you can’t keep kids in the state of Florida and heavily recruit 3 stars…
If you let a defensive coordinator who can’t make adjustments and also can’t recruit stay on staff…
You are not elite. You are not THE guy. You will not take us to a championship.
Unfortunately, the coaching landscape is about like college football this year. It’s Saban, a big arse gap, and then everyone else. So getting rid of him may be a lot of movement for nothing.

Every year Mullen has one of these types of brain fart games. We need elite talent to overcome it.

Just got out played tonight and had a ton of dumb penalties.

I'm sure Mullen will figure out how to coach up 3 and 4 star kids for an entire season eventually.

90-95% of teams have this happen. I'm not happy but if you were my boss I guess I'd be out a job even though I'm one of your better employees.
EDIT: Clemson has better talent than us and they have 2 loses. Their coach isn't so bad either. shite happens.

You would if I paid you $7.6 million per year to lead my most profitable department.
Or, I would strongly suggest you upgrade the team around you.

Wtf was that play calling end of first half. He does a high risk throw on our own 20, actually gets the first down, then just runs out the clock after.

So you really think Mullen is our best option? He is the guy that will get us back to the top? I know shite happens but you gotta be able to overcome it. And Mullen doesn't have Dabo's success to fall back on.

That's what a coach that doesn't have the killer instinct does.

There is no getting back to the top until Saban retires. Just be a top 15 program until that happens. I’ve come to accept this.

And I'd be fine if we were only losing to Saban, or hell, even Smart. But after the way last year ended, and what I've seen this year, I'm really starting to have doubts about Mullen and how he runs the program.

The only thing Mullen has been Elite at is recruiting 3* players to Florida
Back to top
