You guys are missing my point that Harsin just wasted over $600k on this hire. All I'm saying is demote the guy, give him some more training, or coaching. Since he had his old coach as an analyst this would have been easy to do and then tell the guy to find something at the end of the season. It was one of his guys who was in position to make the game winning catch.

What if your assistant coach verbally insulted and cussed the head coach in front of another assistant, a female staff support person, and the offensive coordinator?
What then?
Do you still do the same thing? Demote him to an off field position where he will remain in the building and talk negatively about you behind your back?
Or do you tell him to pack his bags and show the rest of your coaching staff that you are in charge and will accept disagreements but will not accept being belittled in public?
Just curious if that “hypothetical scenario” would change your mind?
