We should have mixed in some called quarterback draws. Hit the gap between 55 and the nose tackle to make 55 slow down his rush.

You can even go to a 2 tight end set, chip him every play, and run directly at him w/Spiller to slowly wear his arse out.

We did absolutely nothing to counteract that guy.

I just do not understand abandoning the run the way we did. I don't want to hear anything about RPOs from Jimbo. It's clear Calzada was rattled. Simplify the game for him. Don't even give him give him the option to pick a pass over a run.

I understand expecting the quarterback to direct the offense, but if the QB is incapable of it, you HAVE to micromanage.

It was baffling during the Colorado game, but I convinced myself it was somewhat important to get Calzada as many live looks as possible, and if you could do that and win the game, sure go for it. Win and move on, doesn't really matter what the MOV is.

But Jimbo truly seems convinced he can ride Calzada to glory. What the hell happened to the 2018 Jimbo that would run 40-45 times a game, even if you were only getting 2-3 yards at a time and protect a QB that couldn't win you most games?
