I don’t know, Finley was pretty poised for the most part. Nix would beat him in any and all camp drills/scrimmages, but Nix seems a bit of a head case, I don’t think he’d stick back there as long as finely did to make that TD throw.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Finley - I wish we had that same performance in a big game against a real opponent to judge on. As it stands it was a poised performance in a high-stress situation (the risk of a monumental embarrassment), but I do think it's mitigated by the fact that GSU just isn't very good and Finley only had to make one play of significance. And not to be debbie downer, but that play could have just as easily gone wrong.

My overarching theme on this debacle is that it's made a lot more difficult by the fact that the guy getting dethroned - Bo - is probably the MORE dynamic player. A lot of times for AU it's been the opposite, you've got the steady, sluggish hand vs. the up and comer who can mess with defenses and wow with some athleticism.

I remember when Auburn played LSU last year the pre game talk was about Finleys poise. He is certainly a lot more mettle in demeanor.

I do think he has that going for him but he still gets pressured into mistakes. He has enough talent to do things but Bo has more upside.

Bo needs to open his eyes if he wants to be drafted though. Answer the wake up call.

Exactly: do think it's mitigated by the fact that GSU just isn't very good and Finley only had to make one play of significance.

And that was a busted play, in SEC play it would have been a sack.
