I've been a Bo Nix defender (within reason) in that I thought with good coaching he could become one of those steady hand, productive QBs that gets remembered fondly in the conference but never contends for elite status.

More and more it appears he'll be a manager at best, and will never be very productive in doing so. So I think it's a fair question, a lot more legitimate than I envisioned a few weeks ago.

I still hold out some hope that this will cause Bo to take a step forward - but he's had the time and opportunity, and to me he still seems like a nice post-HS QB with a lot of accolades but very few moments of taking over a game or leadership when the team is on the ropes.

I agree he just needs more confidence and we should not limit his running game. He is more of a Tebow type of QB who should be utilized accordingly. He also reminds me somewhat of Jake Locker during his sophomore season at Washington (rough, underdeveloped but talented).

Nix our version of John Parker Wilson and Brodie Croyle. Nice local guys who were good HS QB’s.
