Narrator response: Finley had played only 5 games as a true freshman, and brought in only bc their starter got hurt. His first away game ever was at Auburn. He also had away games at TaM, and had to perform against Alabama(didn't throw an INT in this game).

Nix is playing in his 31st game, and still making mistakes.

Now I'm not saying Finley is the answer to our QB problems, but he does provide a better passing arm and ability to complete passes, and he showed yesterday in can be accurate even when pressured or moving out of the pocket.

Temporarily he is a better option.

TJ hasn't been hit like Bo has been hit behind that OL yet. Bo owns a lot of his issues, but scheme and poor OL play haven't helped his mental game and for the QB that will always bleed into the physical game.

Given Nix passed the eye test also as a true freshman this really doesn’t hold much weight with me.
