Bo isn't terrible. He's just a placeholder who will be either pretty bad or pretty good depending on performances around him.

Unfortunately, as much as I'd love to see TJ just outright take the job, I'm not sure what skillset he is going to offer that will differentiate from Bo. So he'll have to unseat Bo by being a better decision maker, having a stronger and accurate deep ball, better knowledge of the playbook, etc. And I'm just a long way from convinced that'll be the case over multiple games.

This.

TJ also lacks the one major advantage Bo possesses: the ability to make plays with his legs. Of course Bo has pretty much negated that advantage due to his poor decisions under pressure. I have yet to see him make defenses respect the threat of him running the ball.

Speaking of being a placeholder, who around here thinks Bo Nix is on the team next year?

I wonder since he wasn't recruited by Harsin, if he has seen enough, or does he think he can coach him up to a serviceable SEC QB to hold it down for his senior year until he can get a guy he wants ready? Or does Bo see the writing on the wall and hit the portal? Gonna be interesting to watch and see what happens over the next year.
