I know this theory helped you sleep at night for the last year.

It’s simply the only logical explanation for that game to be such an anomaly. I’m sorry it bothers you.

Teams that Ole Miss put up fewer yards against:

LSU
Florida
Kentucky
Arkansas
Auburn
Vanderbilt
Mississippi State
Indiana

Sounds like another "We beat ourselves" type year for the double wide, roll tide, bama guys.

Having defensive signals isn’t a logical explanation at all. We went too fast for that. But Kiffin openly admits that he has an advantage after practicing against Saban for three years. He knows exactly what saban wants to do against any look.

Also, it’s not Ole Miss/Bama week. Saban would chew us all out for looking ahead.

So, you're saying that Alabama has the dumbest fricking coaching staff in football, if they cannot change their signals, several years of losing coaches? Do you really think Saban and his entire staff are that dumb? That's the only "logical explanation" to explain your belief.

while technically true, it's not as if they put up a small number of yards against those schools either, so I wouldn't call the Alabama game an anomaly per se. Ole Miss had the following total yards against those schools last year:

Florida 613
LSU 558
Kentucky 459
Arkansas 442
Auburn 444
Vanderbilt 641
State 550
Indiana 493

Ole Miss averaged 555 ypg last year. Alabama also hadn't started to gel on defense that early in the season last year. They also gavce up 450 yards to A&M the week prior, and I think we'd probably agree that A&M didn't have a great offense last year. I think the logical explanation would be that Ole Miss played their best game of the season and Alabama their worst than trying to say they stole Alabama's signals. But if they did, in fact steal Alabama's signals, I'd say Alabama needs to change their signals and Ole Miss coaches did a good job of picking up on them. I'd also argue Kiffin being a great offensive mind and having coached under Saban for a few years was an advantage for them in that particular game
