Can Texas A&M match Arkansas’ football success?

Arkansas made it to the SEC championship game 2 times in its 1st 11 seasons in the SEC.
Texas A&M is currently in their 10th season in the SEC with no championship appearances.
Can A&M find a way to make it this season and next season to get to Arkansas’ level or should we start comparing them to South Carolina whose journey to the SEC championship game was 19 years?
As a thank you for reading my post here is a Time magazine from the day A&M last won a championship in any major sport.

They had a puncher's chance in that 2006 SEC Championship Game. But it was tough to beat those Tebow teams.

Did R-Kansas do any of this when Saban was a HC at Bama? You're throwing out "facts" but leaving out the most important one.

A reminder of the years Arkansas won the west.
1995: 8-5, unranked, lost championship game 34-3
2002: 9-5, unranked, lost championship game 30-3
2006: 10-4, 15th, lost championship game 38-28
I think it speaks to how bad the west was in the 90s than it does to how good Arkansas was.

Agreed, and I'll add some points.
In 2002, Alabama was the true SEC West Champ. However, they were on probation. This enabled Arkansas to get a miracle win over LSU and go to Atlanta.
In 2006, they went 7-1 with their lone loss being to LSU. LSU had lost to Florida while Arkansas did not have to play them. The BCS correctly recognized LSU as the better team and sent us to the Sugar Bowl.
So really, 2 of Arkansas' Atlanta trips were by circumstance. A&M has had to deal with a much stronger SEC West.

Yall racked up some wins while A&M was an all male military school. 8 more years, then Ark will lose the ONLY data point they have over A&M.

We did it when Saban was at LSU in 2002. So YES Arkansas has made the SECCG when Saban was coaching in the division.

If memory serves, we beat Saban in the last game of the regular season to win the West.
Aggies sure have a lot of excuses considering all them resources they've got

You're right.
I just saw that you guys lost 30-3
So basically its like bragging that you won one of the recent Big 12 championships

There hasn't exactly been an equal distribution of SEC Champions in those 9 years though, has there? Alabama has won 6 of them during that span, so I am not sure what your point is.

You did, but that was early in Saban's career and we had a crap qb. I'd say your Petrino teams were actually better than your SEC West Champ teams.
