You mean the end of the Saban era. Mullen is young. Saban is not.

You aren't wrong about the ages, but Mullen has been coaching against Saban for basically the entire Saban era, so the original statement wasn't wrong either. 2009-2017 at State, 2020 and 2021 at Florida.

He's also not really "young". He's not old, but he's about to turn 50. Lincoln Riley is 38 - he's young. Mullen is in the prime of his career.
