Respectfully to all of you Gumps out there. Once Saban leaves/retires, especially if he is anywhere near still on top, no red hot coach from another upper end school is going to uproot themselves for a program that sees them as a hero to come in and be compared to Saban and get blasted by the fans when he loses two games. So forget about Dabo, Kirby, Kiffin, etc. You may end with one of those guys but not until Saban’s actual replacement(s) is fired/quits or wants the hell out of Saban’s shadow.

Exactly, it’s career suicide.

The dream scenario is somewhere like USC or Michigan. All the prestige, all the resources, expectations are reasonably low since there’s plenty of room to improve.

This is pretty dumb. Winners don't like losers and losers don't like winners. If a coach is serious about coaching at the top level and winning national championships, then they should expect the things Alabama brings to the table.

If you think coaches are out there wanting less resources and expectations, then you are just clueless.
