So where they at the top prior to Saban ?

We gladly paid him more money than anyone else had ever been paid and an amount that you and your ilk laughed at as being an obscene amount. So yeah, our willingness to pay top dollar makes it a top job.

Speaking of top dollar...how much money are we gonna have to spend on buyouts the next time we change coaches? Imagine being able to put in, oh, I don't know, how about an extra $28,500,000 into coaches' salaries because you're not paying a buyout?

Then, when you actually win, those PTB that you were yapping about stay the hell out of the way.

Throw in the fact that anyone with a pulse can win 10 games at Alabama. Mike Shula won 10. Bill Curry won 10. How many did that dumbass Doug Barfield win at Auburn. Hell, even he could have won 10 at Bama.

It had nothing to due with Saban wanting out of Miami and the NFL.

I guess with the exception of Barfield, anyone at Auburn can win 10 games also. And three can actually go undefeated. :rotflmao:
