Oh, we have definitely underachieved more. I wouldn't argue that for a second. That was kind of the point of my post actually.
We managed to tread water enough while underachieving and throw a few good to great stretches in there. Enough to keep us in the game until we got our shite together, which may be the case right now.
The potential is there. That's technically an opinion but there are so many observable metrics behind that (wallet, alumni base, facilities, recruiting, loyal/crazed fans, etc.), it's pretty damn close to a fact. To argue that basic point would be pretty silly.
And to be honest, while Texas was obviously better over the stretch, to call the metrics you listed "really bad" is pretty fricking stupid.
