Most travel well (except Vandy), but the ones who are winning travel the best.

To be honest, Kentucky basketball could possibly be the best. As a student at Auburn we played Kentucky on a Tuesday night and there were about 2,000 Kentucky fans there. I wondered if these people have jobs. Tuesday night games in the SEC have very few visiting fans unless it's your cross state rival.

No other fanbase travels like the LSU fanbase, in the big 3 sports, except basketball. LSU, UGA, Bama probably the best at traveling for football. UK for basketball. LSU, State, OM, and Arkansas for baseball.

I was told by some Kentucky fans that it's easier for their fans to get tickets to away games than their home games, but yes, Kentucky basketball fans would travel in droves to the moon if they were playing there

In the mid 1980s, when I was an Auburn student, I was walking by the old Beard-Eaves Coliseum. It was mid week in February and there were RVs all over the place.

Kentucky was playing at Auburn the next day.

No other team brought anyone, but parents of players or some high school friends, etc to a basketball game.
