Aggies insist so because of the "talent" but Mond was pretty talented too.

Maybe the problem is on the sideline.

I would say the new Aggie QB will have fewer 7-50 type games in his career.

Thanks for the interest in the program.

As to your question, Mond had Sumlin as a freshman as I'm sure you're aware. With Jimbo he progressed little by little each year and was a solid college QB by his senior year.

King is just a different type of player than Mond. More of a gamer type. I'm expecting more big plays, and also more turnovers. He also has the benefit of a redshirt year, and not being coached by Sumlin AT ALL which Mond did not have.

Could be a drawback.

Sumlin coached your best quarterback ever, after all.

Question isn't really "if" but "when". Both will be able to stretch the field, much, much better than Mond could.

Now how quick that can develop is the operative question.

Riiiiiiight

He didn't even recruit him, nor is he responsible for this God-given talent. Any coaching that was done with Manziel was done by Kingsbury.

Yep, that’s gotta be it. Sumlin’s really the QB guru compared to Jimbo. You know what they always say about Manziel - he was a system QB!

Now I’ve heard it all. Hahahaha….

Kliff Kingsbury coached Johnny. Sumlin just happened to be there.

No, they will take a step back at QB. Ol Jimbo is only building up their hopes just to let them down. As usual.

There is no telling at this point.

Mond had a few glaring deficiencies, but he was serviceable.

We are not to the point where we can plug n play anyone at the QB position, sonit is a big huge ????

It's possible Aggie goes another 5+ years without beating LSU now that Mond is gone.
