Tell the whole story slick:
Dabo took over halfway into 2008 as an interim. That was how long he had to prove his worth. Most coaches get at least 3 years. So that "position coach" had a much shorter leash. He managed a winning record and beating your sorry arse School in the rivalry finale is what gave him an incentive based contract.
SO....If the UofSC had managed to beat Clemson in Dabo's interim year there would be no great run that we fans have enjoyed.
