I'd put AU tier 1 with UGA. Revenue rich and surrounded by talent. AU can't get out of its way at times.

Arguably you can say Auburn has over achieved over the past 30 years.

3 undefeated teams
1 national title
2 championship game appearances
1 Heisman

Probably could of played for two more National Championship under the right circumstances.

Sandwich'd Between Alabama and Georgia

With very good programs over the horizon in Florida Florida State LSU and recently Clemson. All in Auburn's foot print

I wouldn't say Auburn has overachieved or underachieved.

They have great seasons, then absolutely terrible ones. For every amazing team, it's only a couple of years removed from a massive headscratcher of a season.

I'd put Auburn in a Tier 4, the "Roller Coaster" tier, if I were to put them in one at all.
