A trip from Gordon to Benning currently means going 20 to Atlanta, dealing with Atlanta, then going down 85 and 185 to Columbus. Out of the way and filled with traffic.
A Robins to Benning trip is either driving on literally 2 lane roads (which I imagine is not allowed) or driving due north on 75 to Atlanta then back down 85.
This. Should create some economic benefit for middle Georgia, too. and hopefully bypass some traffic out of ATL (even if it means ramping up the traffic in Macon)

Yep - and even more and better access out of the Port of Savannah to West Georgia and Alabama. I'm not a Warnock guy but this is good, solid legislative work by him and Cruz.
