Yea I do - not as frequently as 10 years ago but still some (Demopolis). It's definitely not bumper to bumper or anything, but there is at least some civilian purpose to it. The area of the state south of 20/59 and northwest of 65 has very limited rapid road transportation options, and there is quite a bit of large industry there between timber, agriculture, paper, etc.

But in the end the main thing is connecting the large military bases so that they can more rapidly move equipment and troops (Gordon/Robins/Benning/Maxwell). There aren't really many good options for them that don't involve (a) going through Atlanta and/or (b) going well out of the way.
