I'm going to break this down for you in a way that any chimpanzee can understand by presenting two scenarios for a college football viewer on any given Saturday.

Scenario A:
Alabama @ Virginia
North Carolina @ LSU

Scenario B:
Alabama @ Oklahoma
Texas @ LSU

Which scenario do you suppose ESPN and the SEC brass think will generate the most national viewership?

Scenario A or Scenario B?

He literally can’t comprehend that a low population state like Alabama, or Oklahoma CAN bring a larger national audience than Virginia, or that TV markets don’t matter at all anymore.

This should be a new topic for all of the haters to vote on.. It isn’t rocket science and your example was perfect.
