& that extra CG applies to ALL conferences.

so all conferences will go to a pod system? Again, I thought UGA people are supposed to be smart.

This is some of the dumbest shite I have seen. Do you honestly think the SEC office is going to put their top schools at a detriment to others in the nation? That will be one extra game and one less week to prepare for the tourney for multiple SEC schools.

With the expanded playoff, more than likely both teams who play in the SECCG are in the tourney. Also, there is a very good chance one more SEC team makes the tourney...............possibly two.

SEC went to 14, so did the ACC, & B10. You're telling me that going to 16 WILL NOT make @ least 1 of those to increase in size too? Hell, even the P12 will increase with this reshuffling.

& Auburn's a "smart school"?

As to how they're going to handle the expanded playoffs is anybody's guess. But you're fooling yourself if nobody tries to copy what the SEC does.

Let’s talk in 2026 and see who is right or wrong. You can continue to look at the options and not see the obvious choices based on market principles. You do you and I will look at the most economical model for the conference. Bean counters will win out while accommodating “tradition”
