Half the benefit of going to 16 is to have all these interesting matchups regularly. Kind of defeats the purpose if Texas doesn’t go to Florida but once every 17 years.
A pod system keeps a good number of the rivalries but also allows everyone to play everyone home and home every 4 years.

How does 3 permanent + 6 rotating not accomplish this? 3 permanent allows you to tailor each team’s rivals.
Alabama and Auburn should play.
Auburn and UGA should play.
Alabama and UT should play.
UT and Vandy should play.
Pods can’t accomplish that.

Are you LUSers mathematically challenged?
Two 8-team divisions, 9 SEC games, each team plays all other SEC teams every four years.
I know this is difficult… each team = 7 division games, 2 cross division games each year. The other division has 8 teams. 8 teams divided by 2 teams/year equals 4 years. Gif we have to do something about education in this state.
