I think a lot of people are still holding on to Sumlin’s one year as “they only did it one year and it was hype” but take Johnny away from Sumlin and that year never happens, and Sumlin didn’t recruit well, very too heavy, he’d get you two 5 stars with 20 3 stars, we haven’t been good until now, you don’t know why we are happy? Bc we have been technically enduring college football purgatory starting that started with ONE bad coaching hire, Jimbo is our best bet rn of getting out

I know we say A&M has a lot of money, but we weren’t spending any of it back then I guess bc all those coaches we hired and failed were bargains, until we hired Jimbo we were kinda cheap
