Lol @ long range forecasts. They almost never pan out.
Would like to know what this person based this on. We're going to have another Niña this coming winter (resurgent) so the whole southern tier should be warmer and drier than normal.
Of course, climo doesn't always equal reality. We had a Niña last year, which usually bring warm winters to the South, and Texas froze over in Feb.
Anyway this forecast is probably shite.
