IIRC, LSU was the first to do this, has any other team reached the milestone, or is close?

Only two schools have double digit reg season basketball titles so no. LSU only has 11 btw, not 12. Not sure where the OP is getting 1946. Tennessee is 3rd with 9, with Kentucky at 49
