Yep, and losing games by just a point or 2 to Spurrier didn't help. If Stallings had even a little offensive imagination he could have kept the machine going.

Yeah, I mean the very first one almost derailed Alabama's championship season.

I was against the extra game at the time, but it's hard to argue against the SECCG being the catalyst that made college football huge.

Is that good or bad? IDK.
